In 1996 Stephen founded Adkins Associates specialising in dispute resolution including the preparation and consideration of major claims submissions relating to valuation of the works, delay analysis and related matters such as disruption to the regular progress of the works.
He has been appointed as an expert to consider such matters and has given evidence in matters before the High Courts of England and Wales and in matters proceeding to Arbitration and Adjudication. Steve has also been engaged in matters of mediation both as a party representative and to act as a mediator.
Steve Hasland BSc(Hons) MRICS MCIArb Dip Eng
Steve Hasland has over 25 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industries. Born in 1966, Steve was educated in South Africa and Sheffield, England.
Steve set up has specialized in dispute resolution including the preparation and consideration of claims submissions, adjudication advocacy concerning the valuation of the parties’ entitlements, delay and disruption to the progress of the works and other related commercial matters, the provision of expert quantum evidence in the consideration of such claims and the provision of legal support services. During this time Steve also worked extensively on international engineering, oil production, gas pipeline and construction disputes in Yemen, India, Turkey and Nigeria. In 2004 Steve completed a Certificate of Expert Witness Accreditation at Cardiff University.
In 2015 Steve joined the Adkins Associates team as a Senior Construction Consultant engaged on major building and civil engineering projects throughout the UK and Europe.
Martyn has wide and extensive experience in the Construction industry and in particular he has specialised in Building Engineering Services, Facilities Management and Support Services Sectors. Having worked at various levels in these sectors, he has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Wayne Adkins MCIOB
Wayne Adkins started his career in construction in Facilities Management with Powerminster Limited (part of the Gleeson Group of companies). He was with Powerminster for 5 years during which time he managed a PFI project called Grove Village.
In 2011 Wayne left the employment of Powerminster Gleeson Services Limited and joined Adkins Associates. Using both his construction experience and skills with computer software, Wayne became a Programme Engineer. He has received formal training in the use of programming software and in particular Asta Powerproject. He has completed a Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Construction Senior Management and is currently studying a Masters in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution.
